About

The tension between the organic and the engineered sits at the heart of Louise Browne’s practice. As a contemporary experimental artist, she works where precision meets unpredictability — embracing the charged space where control gives way to chance and unexpected forms emerge.

Hong Kong–based, Louise draws subtly on her architectural background without being defined by it. Her work unfolds through material exploration — resin, wood, felt, and organic sponge — each chosen for how it reacts, resists, or yields. The BLOK compositions form modular, layered abstractions that echo landscapes, geology, and organic growth. Smooth contrasts with rough, chemical sheen meets raw texture, and the interplay of these elements reveals a world where the natural and synthetic continually negotiate space.
